How do I begin discovering passion & purpose in life?

It’s a question we get regularly here at Passion Profit CEO, “How do I begin discovering my passion & purpose to create a business?”

The question of existence always comes up, “What am I created for and where is “my spot” in this world to make it a better place?”

More so than anything else, our clients want to know they are on the right route making the right choices for their future.

There is a certain feeling of happiness and accomplishment that comes from “having a spot” within the world that is bigger than ourselves that helps others.

To really find your Purpose in this life & live with passion all you do is experiment until there is a confidence within you that is freeing when you fill in the following equation.

Trial/Skill/Interest (aka your Passion ~The THING you can talk about for hours) + Transformation (how you help someone else) = Purpose

Passion

Passion is that emotional sense of powerful love.

When someone has a passion they have a desire within to want to always be talking about that “thing” that sets their soul on fire with tons of love & excitement.

It’s like an addiction but one that is good for your soul.

So how do you discover what that is?

You experience life and find the things that light you up & put a smile on your face giving you a positive fulfilling energy.

One way to discover your passion in life is to really take a look at your life & observe your past.

Your passion can sometimes creep in as a trial you have overcome where you have used strength. Passion can start as something that really isn’t a passion at all. It can actually be the very thing that you feel tore you apart & broke you in life but you just haven’t opened up to seeing it as the gift you have been given to help others yet which is where the passion can come about.

The next way to discover passion is to look toward the future.

It can be just an interest you have in something that makes you feel excited & eager to learn more about.

Finding passion in life evolves with time when you have discovered you can pair that trial you went through or an interest you have with a strength or skill to create a transformation that blesses & helps serve others giving your that fulfilling emotion of accomplishment.

Transformation

You’re probably thinking what is this crazy hoot talking about pairing my passion with a transformation to discover my purpose?

A transformation is a way for you to make an impact on someone else’s life.

It is your version of being the change you want to see in the world.

A transformation takes place like a car on a journey across the map.

That car starts in location A but wants to be in location B.

Transformation can take shape in many forms.

It’s as simple as supporting someone through a trial you have been through.

Equally so, it can be an actual service you provide.

For example, my Husband had always been in the construction field but knew he was not being paid the value of his worth so he took his skill of concrete & construction to form his own business creating a transformation in helping others desires of barns & houses come to life.

A transformation typically helps someone else go from point A with a feeling of insecurity or lack (a problem) to point B of feeling AWHHHH! (A relief).

A couple more examples of this are a support group where people leave the meeting knowing they are not alone & everything they are experiencing is normal for the journey they are on or a bookkeeper or travel agent who leaves their clients with a deep sense of satisfaction for being able to allow the client to be confident in an area they lacked desire of action or knowledge.

Purpose

When we discover a way to serve others and help them in life that’s when we find our purpose.

It’s something we can stand for that set’s our soul on fire & makes us feel needed in life.

We then have the choice to monetize the passion to create profits or not.

A great example is within my own life.

Depression had hit hard to that point of not wanting to live anymore.

That’s when I started searching for me & trying to better my physical health.

To my surprise I had discovered my passion & purpose by it finding me.

My coach thought it would be a good idea to start focusing on other people’s problems instead of my own.

It took a leap of Faith but coaching entered my life.

It fulfilled that very calling of the void related to “I was meant to be defined as more than just Mom & Wife”.

Even though this had always been my goal it was also the very thing that caused the depression.

Coaching gave my life purpose again, a reason to get up in the morning.

As I continued to grow and help others with their health, I discovered that my skills of the health industry weren’t truly my passion.

There was more that could make me even happier.

So the journey changed course using the newfound purpose paired with discovering a direction of more passion.

I changed it up a bit by starting a coaching business for startup businesses.

After everyone watched my own transformation of starting 4 thriving businesses in our family from things we are passionate about their questions were no longer, “how do I lose weight” but “how do I live a life I truly love by monetizing things in my life”.

It LIT ME UP like a Christmas tree to help others not only improve their mindset and skills but to help them to learn business & design the life they wanted monetizing their passions to have a thriving business & live life on their terms, too.

That’s how you find your purpose, you continually experiment in different areas of life until your soul is lit up & it’s screams “THIS IS IT” & inside you have such a euphoric feeling of massive love & needs being met.

It honestly, comes naturally when you are just going about life making decisions to try new things & can change over time.

Evolving Your Purpose

The truth is your purpose evolves over time as you continue the journey.

It really is like a map with a car going cross country.

Your journey is your journey but there are many roads that can lead to the destination you are desiring.

Your job is to discover & choose the path of Passion that is the most interesting & fulfilling to you right now.

All that matters is finding the thing that matters MOST right now.

What is your truest, truth?

You get to tell the story. So, at the end of the story what story are you wanting to tell?

Choose the paths that lead you there & open up to what they have to offer.

Your Passion & Purpose will change as you grow personally & that is perfectly normal.

We as humans are curious & the more curious we become the more risks we take but the more experiences & wisdom we gain by going through the trials of growth in life.

Change in life, even though it’s hard, keeps us moving forward and hitting new levels.

Our body tries to keep us safe but it is in the moments of uncertainty needing hope & living on pure faith of the unknown that challenge & strengthen us to become who we have always meant to be discovering things about ourselves.

If you are showing up in life, holding yourself to a high standard, continually experiencing new things & searching for that thing that lights you up, your purpose evolves on it’s own as you consciously take mental note of what feels really good to you.

You will have seasons in life and when you are no longer fulfilled you just keep searching for that next thing that provides you with more passion & purpose.

Conclusion

You already have everything within to start living out your purpose today.

Look around you & fill in the simple equation Your Trial/Skill/Interest  + Transformation For Someone Else = Purpose.

You might just discover you have more passion & purpose than you ever thought you did already.

Then as you grow as a person & really dive deep within experiencing life in tune with how it makes you feel your passion & purpose evolve.

You then find that thing that really lights you up giving you that euphoric indescribable fulfillment & joy that you just can’t wait to get up & go serve some more of each day just doing something that comes natural to you.
