Intro
Hey hey, it’s Danielle, your favorite business strategist and OBM. If you’re looking to structure your business for more freedom and life-work balance, you’re in the right place. Let’s dive in.
Welcome back to The Aligned Entrepreneur!
Today, we’re discussing the powerful connection between human design, personality, and building a business that not only
creates rapid success but also supports the life you want.
On my journey…
I learned how critical it is to align your business with your unique personality and strengths, and I want to share that with you.
When I first started in network marketing, I was obsessed with studying top leaders and trying to replicate their success. I mimicked their strategies—social media tactics, expert positioning, and the like—but quickly hit a wall. Why? Because their approaches didn’t fit me. As an ambivert who leans introverted, I thrive on one-on-one conversations and need plenty of grounding work to manage my empathic tendencies. Understanding and accepting these traits was a game-changer for me, not just in business but in life.
Discovering my human design as a Manifestor was the turning point.
Manifestors are a rare type with dynamic energy cycles—intense bursts of inspiration followed by the need for rest. For me, inspiration feels like a train speeding down the track. But when my energy dips, I have to honor that and recharge. Structuring my business around this cycle was a revelation. My business year now runs from August to May, with summers off to rejuvenate and spend time with my kids. Even week to week, I pace myself, knowing that burnout comes when I push too hard or force strategies that don’t align with who I am.
This alignment transformed my business & my life priorities.
When I stopped trying to be someone I wasn’t and built my business around my strengths, I achieved in 90 days what had felt impossible before
—50 customers, 15 team members, multiple one-on-one clients, and my first $10k month of many.
It was like the floodgates opened, and everything clicked.
Here’s a holistic business truth:
Building a business isn’t about forcing yourself into strategies that feel unnatural, it’s about creating a holistic system that works with you, not against you.
Your business is not just one big puzzle piece—it’s a whole puzzle with interconnected pieces.
There’s the border that creates the framework, and inside are the strategies, operations, sales, customer delivery, and more.
These pieces must fit together seamlessly for your business to truly thrive.
Using SWOT
One of the most impactful tools I’ve found is the SWOT analysis, but not for comparing yourself to competitors in a way that makes you feel bad or like you aren’t enough.
Instead, it’s about identifying your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to build a business that plays to your strengths and fills a meaningful gap in the industry.
This clarity helps you make savvy decisions for your business. Decisions that align with your goals and allow you to scale sustainably.
As an OBM, one of my key roles is helping clients navigate their growth by creating SOPs, delegating tasks, and building teams.
Playing to strengths when outsourcing
This means not only finding the right people but putting them in the right positions based on skill strengths.
I’ve learned this firsthand.
When I hired my first VA, I quickly realized the tasks I’d assigned didn’t play to her strengths.
It wasn’t about her not being skilled— it was about finding better projects where she could shine and deliver the results I needed where she was most skilled.
This taught me the importance of qualifying team members, assessing their skills, and using trial runs to ensure they’re the right fit.
SOPs play a huge role in assessing their true abilities by outlining clear standards and expectations for success.
More Alignment For Time-Saving or Delegation?
For solopreneurs, this also means understanding when to outsource delegations and when to manage tasks yourself.
Whether you choose to stay solo or build a team, you must first understand what you want and structure your business accordingly.
Your personality, human design, and lifestyle all influence these decisions.
For instance, if sales feel difficult, it could be because the strategies you’re using don’t match your natural strengths.
There are three sales archetypes—Maven, Connector, and Salesperson—and knowing yours can make all the difference.
This principle applies to every part of your business.
The more you align your strategies with who you are, the faster you’ll see results.
Danielle’s Alignment
I know from experience how frustrating it feels when strategies don’t work because they’re not meant for you.
I’ve been told to be “more consistent” or “more committed” so many times, but those critiques missed the mark.
I am committed and consistent—just not in the traditional sense of typical generator human design energy.
Once I embraced my unique patterns, everything shifted. The same can happen to you.
Alignment isn’t just about business; it’s about life too. Seasons change, and your business should adapt to meet your needs.
This is especially true for moms. Whether you’re managing infants, homeschooling, or juggling a family schedule, your business should support your lifestyle, not overwhelm it.
That’s why I help my clients build custom-tailored strategies that create ease and flow, allowing them to achieve their profit and lifestyle goals.
